There will be individual toilet facilities on site, with a minimum 2m space between each toilet. An accessible toilet will be provided. Please use the hand sanitiser provided before and after using the facilities to help us stop the spread.

In a word – NO! We are not a drive in cinema. We are a socially spacious, covid secure venue with plenty of space between our pitches in order to keep you all safe.

There will be no parking on site aside from a small amount of spaces reserved for disabled parking – please contact before you purchase your ticket if you require one of these spaces. 

However there are many car parks available within walking distance of the venue.

In order to adhere to Covid Secure guidelines we must stagger our arrivals in order to minimise queues. The time on your ticket is when you must arrive and with all members of your group – this is very important. This will provide a great opportunity to relax, have some of the great food and drink on offer and enjoy the tunes provided by the finest  DJs & live Music

Yes please, bring a chair as we will not be able to supply them. If you are unable to bring one we will seat you at the front of the arena so that your view is not obstructed.

There are no steps at our venue, however the showings are taking place on a field. Accessible toilets will be on site.

Only registered assistance dogs are permitted to come to our events.

Children are permitted at our events, but please be aware that they must adhere to the film’s certification and our stewards will check to make sure that all audience members are the suitable age to see the film. Valid photographic ID will be required for any patron we believe to be under the age certification of the film.

The event will always go ahead in the event of bad weather. Please check the weather forecast in advance and be prepared for the Great British Summer. Screenings will only be cancelled if the weather conditions present a danger at screening time. Patrons accept the risk that weather they consider unsatisfactory may occur on a screening night and acknowledge that tickets will not be refunded unless a screening is cancelled by Alfresco Flicks. In the unlikely event that a screening is cancelled, we will aim to give as much notice as possible so please keep an eye out for information on the website and social media. No umbrellas are permitted during the screenings as they can obstruct the view for others.  Feel free to bring anything you need to keep warm and dry such as a bean bag, sleeping bag, blankets or a tarp if you are in one of the pitches where chairs are not permitted. Now do your sun dances and make sacrifice to the weather gods!

Smoking is permitted inside the arena but only within your own pitch (which will be located 2 metres away from other pitches). However we are operating a leave no trace policy – all rubbish including cigarette buts must be removed.

Children under 3 years of age will be issued with a complimentary ticket – ie they will not counted in the number of people within your pitch – They will be required to sit on the knee of a paying adult. Should the babe-in-arms become restless and cause a disturbance, the parent/guardian will be requested to leave the auditorium with the child. We reserve the right to not re-admit.

We are Covid secure! – Social Distancing

The hopes are that all restrictions will be lifted by 21st June but there is still uncertainty regarding this date. We have designed this event with social distancing in mind but if unlocking does go according to plan, we will of course allow you to mix more freely and relax some of the following rules.

 Essentially we will adhere to the government’s rules at the time of the event.

For now, we have created a safe environment for you to enjoy in the comfort and safety of your own pitch. We have been working with the responsible authorities and have conducted a ‘Covid-Safe’ Risk Assessment following all available best practices and guidelines. 

Covid-19, also referred to as Coronavirus, has dominated life for everyone over the last year.  As responsible event organisers and health and safety professionals we have kept fully abreast of the evolving situation, the new legal position for events and the best advice and guidance from UK Health and Safety Executive, UK Government and Institute of Environmental Health as well as international best practises. It is important that you help us to help you keep everyone safe by following these simple rules:

Any individual who is self-isolating either due to displaying symptoms as above for 7 days, or any member of their household who is self-isolating for 14 days.

Social Distancing

This depends on the size you have picked. A 2 person pitch has space for 2 people, whilst a 4 person space will fit 4 people and so on up to a 12 person pitch which will seat 12.

 If you wish to book multiple pitches you are welcome to, but please note we cannot guarantee that you will be seated next to one another and pitches may not be merged at any time.

Pitches will be assigned on a first come first served basis, according to your ticket type. Customers will be escorted to their zone by a steward. Unfortunately you cannot choose which pitch you are provided with.

Pitches will be spaced to allow for social distancing to take place between the rows so you can easily walk to and from the facilities. Each zone will be separated by a distance of 2m.


Tickets will be emailed to you as a Print at Home Ticket. Please ensure you print these and bring them with you. If you cannot print them don’t worry, we can scan from your smartphone. Printed tickets just make for easier socially distanced scanning. 

If you don’t receive your ticket via email please check your spam folder.

Please bring your ticket along – if you do forget it, we have a record of all bookings, so if you provide our steward with your details and ID, we can admit you into the event.

Food and Drink

YES! An extensive range will be available including delicious hot popcorn, several flavours of ice cream, alcoholic beverages & soft drinks, teas, coffees & hot chocolate. All orders on the evening will be taken in person at our bar (Routes Bus) 

We are encouraging card payments in order to minimise contact but will accept payment
via cash.

The bar will remain open pre show and for the first 45 minutes of the film

Our bar prices will be extremely reasonable and will be cheaper than the local pubs!

We will be operating a “Think 21” policy so please bring ID if you are lucky enough to look under 21!

Sorry but our health and safety guidelines do not allow this. Our Covid Secure guidelines mean that our ticket numbers must be kept very low. Also, we have to give 40% of our box office to the film licensing people! We urge you to support the event by purchasing a drink or two on the night – this will help to make our event financially viable.

YES! Our menu is brought to you by Masterchef contestant  Mark Satterthwaite, former head chef at the multi-award winning Blacksmith’s Arms. 

YES. But again we remind you that due to the low number of tickets we are allowed to sell, we are reliant on our food and drink sales to make the event viable so please consider supporting us by ordering some of our delicious treats!
